Its Oise department is particularly well known as the one with the most listed monuments in France. The most beautiful seaside resorts in Picardy

Hauled in by the English Channel, Picardy proves to be an excellent playground for cruise enthusiasts, who will be thrilled to travel along its coasts, which are home to charming seaside resorts. These are grouped together in the department of the Somme, the only department in Picardy to offer beautiful beaches.

The Picardy coast offers a diversity of landscapes over a distance of more than 70 km that will leave a lasting impression. From the Baie d'Authie in the north to the Vallée de la Bresle in the south, not forgetting the Baie de Somme estuary, the coastline is dotted with sandy and pebble beaches, interspersed with high, steep, dizzying cliffs. Cayeux-sur-Mer is a family seaside resort. Located between the Hâble d'Ault marshes and the Baie de Somme, this seaside resort is one of the oldest in Picardy and will enchant birdwatchers, who will find nearlymore than 250 species of migratory birds. Stretching for several kilometers, its pebble beach is divided into several areas and offers a range of water sports such as kitesurfing and sailing.

Le Crotoy and Saint-Valéry-sur-Somme are the places to go if you want to get closer to nature. Located in the heart of the Baie de Somme, the seaside resort of Le Crotoy will give you the opportunity to observe seal colonies from the side of your sailboat. From Saint-Valéry-sur-Somme, you can reach the Baie de Somme on foot at low tide.
