Discover the island of Raiatea from the Apooiti Marina
Once you have had your fill of all these water activities, head for Apooiti Marina, located 5 km from the city. Then you can go for walks, quad-biking, mountain biking, canoeing or pirogue trips in the heart of lush natural surroundings. To start, visit the mythical Taputapuatea marae, a place of pilgrimage and sacred culture in the south of the island.
Then continue your Polynesian cruise by heading up to the flowering mountain of Temehani. You will quickly be intoxicated by the heady scent of the Tiare Apetahi, a magnificent white flower that is only found on the island of Raiatea.
