A commune of Languedoc-Roussillon, in the Pyrénées-Orientales, Saint-Cyprien is the third largest marina in France, and is therefore perfectly equipped for renting a boat in the Mediterranean.

A day in town
Part of the Occitanie region, the commune of Saint-Cyprien is the best place to spend a relaxing vacation in a friendly and protected environment. Lying at the foot of the Pyrenees, the town is embellished by a natural and urban landscape conducive to various recreational activities. Its green nature is an invitation to go hiking, horse riding or cycling. Families can enjoy beautiful walks in the heart of the large Parc de la Prade, with more than 2 km of paths. Open all year round, the Botanic Garden also offers beautiful walks to vacationers, who will find a large lake and several waterfalls in bloom. The garden is home to centuries-old shafts such as the Chilean coconut tree, and several varieties of camellia, palm and bamboo.
Historically, Saint-Cyprien also has much to offer its visitors. On foot, history enthusiasts will love to wander the streets of the town, which lead to ancient buildings such as the church of Saint-Cyprien, built in the 18th century, or the Romanesque church of Saint-Etienne de Vilarase.
A link between the sea and the land, the markets of Saint-Cyprien are also worth spending a few hours in. Fruit and vegetables, fish, meat, seafood… discover typically Mediterranean products at the traditional markets every Thursday, Friday and Sunday morning.
The beaches of Saint-Cyprien
At sea, yachtsmen and beachgoers will be spoiled for choice between the six beaches that make up the 5 km of Saint-Cyprien's coastline. All located close to the city center, the beaches are protected by a large water-jet-powered motorized-craft pier and remain suitable for swimming. For camping, head for the South beach. Maillol and Pont-Tournant beaches have the HandiPlage (disabled-friendly beach) label. Board sports enthusiasts, such as kitesurfers, stand-up paddle boarders and windsurfers, are invited to the North beach.
