Yacht charter

Last updated on 8 April 2025

Treat yourself to a Mediterranean sailing cruise with a yacht charter between Marseille and Toulon and discover the magnificent coastline of south-eastern France.

Leave Toulon and set sail for Marseille on your own sailboat and let your mind wander amidst this Mediterranean landscape embellished by its splendid sandy beaches and majestic historic cities.

If you fancy a swim, stop off at Sanary-sur-Mer. A small, quiet seaside resort, this town boasts 8 km of sandy beach overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. You can veer off to try your hand at a range of water sports before heading back out into the open sea.

Your trip on the warm waters of the Mediterranean will also take you to Bandol. We love its magnificent gardens and walks on the beach in the shade of palm trees, but also the wines from the greatest cellars of Brittany.

Continuing your trip by sea to Marseille, you will reach the small town of La Ciotat, famous for its beaches embellished by small white stones and its restaurants that invite you to relax. Don't hesitate to make a detour to La Seyne or Cassis, a magnificent little town that stands out for its splendid natural landscape.

Discover the most beautiful beaches in the south of France

The coastal towns of the PACA region are perfectly equipped to satisfy and entertain young and old alike. At sea, boaters will easily find excellent anchorages and will be able to veer off to their shortlist of nautical activities. Some beaches and magnificent coves along the south coast are particularly worth a visit, such as the famous calanques of Marseille and Cassis. These calanques, like the calanque of Sormiou, are certainly among the wildest and attract those seeking tranquility. The white rocks facing the turquoise sea also appeal to those who love authenticity.

Splendid beaches also line the coastline of La Seyne-sur-Mer. Backed by the Cap Sicié massif, the seaside resort is undoubtedly one of the most popular on the French Riviera. halfway between Six-Fours-les-Plages and Toulon, La Seyne-sur-Mer is home to the famous Plage des Sablettes beach, with restaurants hauled in at the side of the boats. Boaters looking for peace and quiet can linger on the wild beach of La Verne during their stopover.

Historical interlude between Marseille and Toulon

A cruise from Marseille to Toulon will also give you the opportunity to immerse yourself in the history of the region through the majestic historical monuments that adorn each town. in La Seyne-sur-Mer, hikers can combine natural and cultural change of scenery by visiting the Notre-Dame-du-Mai chapel along the coastal path.

When entering Toulon harbor, you can easily drop anchor at Pin Rolland port, occupying Lazaret bay, and take a historical stroll in Saint-Mandrier-sur-Mer. Your excursion from the port will take you to the Cap Cépet lighthouse or the 19th-century Saint-Louis chapel. This stopover at Saint-Mandrier also gives you the opportunity to take the famous Sentier des Douaniers coastal path, which winds its way between beaches and cliffs, linking the seaside resorts of the French Riviera.
