Yacht charter

Last updated on 8 April 2025

Between Marseille and Montpellier, Port-de-Bouc is a port located just 6 km south of Fos-sur-Mer, in the Bouches-du-Rhône. A truly lively place, it is an ideal point of departure for renting a boat in the Mediterranean.

discovering Port-de-Bouc

Port-de-Bouc stands out for its exceptional living environment. Nestled on a peninsula, the city is renowned for its blue waters and green hilly landscapes. Moreover, nature lovers will not want to miss the Castillon state forest. This protected natural area is a real invitation to take a stroll. If you are looking for a friendly atmosphere, the Parc de la Presqu'île is a place where children can play and adults can relax. With its 9.5 km of coastline, Port-de-Bouc attracts all swimming enthusiasts. Don't hesitate to stroll along the fine sandy beaches or pebble beaches, such as the Plage des Ours, which is well worth a visit.

Ideas for trips out to sea from Port-de-Bouc

The Port-de-Bouc marina is located to the south-east of the city. Open 24/7, it can accommodate sailing boats and motor boats from 5 to 35 meters long. The yacht charter at Port-de-Bouc offers numerous opportunities for discovery and stopovers on the French Riviera. Cruise along the shores of the Côte Bleue in complete tranquility, and enjoy a moment of relaxation in the sun on the magnificent Couronne beach. You can also stop off at one of the many coves along the coast, such as the Calanque des Eaux Salées. The latter is appreciated for its pebble beach and crystal-clear waters, ideal for swimming or kayaking. You can also venture out to Marseille by sailboat, or even further afield, berthing on the Corsican coast.

Nothing but happiness at the side of the boat

Would you like to enjoy the sweetness of doing nothing on the sandy shores of the commune of Port-de-Bouc? You will be spoiled for choice. Of course, they can hardly compete with the long sandy beaches of Cannes. However, they promise pleasant moments for families and lovers in search of peace and quiet.

For families looking for swimming and entertainment, we recommend the Aigues Douces beach. Located in the south of the commune, the latter hosts sports events in summer. Considered the main beach of Port-de-Bouc, the Aigues Douces beach stretches for about a hundred meters.

The tranquility of the Plage des Ours, located a few minutes from the point of Vella, appeals to more discreet bathers. It also offers a pleasant view of the Aigues Douces district and the towers of Fos-sur-Mer.

Located a few pitches from a nautical base, the Plage des Bottaï will please water sports enthusiasts. Although quite narrow, the beach nevertheless bears the Blue Flag label. This beach also allows you to experience camping by the sea. Also with Blue Flag status, the small pebble beach of Combattants is halfway between the beaches of Ours and Aigues Douces.

Are you fascinated by wild and authentic landscapes? Head for the small cove of Génie. Straddling the beaches of Aigues Douces and Combattants, this charming pebble cove invites you to relax in complete privacy.

Gastronomy in celebration at Port-de-Bouc

Anchoring at Port-de-Bouc also offers fine gourmets the opportunity to sit down to a meal in a festive atmosphere. Every summer, the famous «Sardinades» take place. This festival, which has become an unmissable event since its inauguration in 1988, aims to promote seafood.

The festivities take place at the marina. Locals and tourists alike gather at dusk to enjoy local specialties (mussels, lobster, grilled fish, prawns, etc.) in an atmosphere enlivened by musical entertainment.

A short tour of the city

The local flavors can also be tasted in the many family restaurants that are colonizing the city. This is an opportunity for walkers who will take great pleasure in immortalizing the monuments that embellish the town.

You will also succumb to the charm of the magnificent church of Notre-Dame-de-Bon-Voyage, dating from 1880. Continuing your little urban trek, you will come to the statue of Christ, a recognized historic monument dating from the 17th century. Also pay attention to the Moralès museum. It houses more than 600 metal sculptures by Raymond Moralès.

The archaeological sites are also worth a special mention, such as the oppidum of Castillon. This site is home to the ruins of a village where the Avatiacs lived, a Celto-Ligurian people who occupied the west and south of the Étang de Berre. Heading towards the commune of Martigues, you will reach Fort de Bouc. This whitewashed fort was built between the 12th and 17th centuries.
