You should also consider strolling for a few hours along the Rue Obscure, which will transport you to a distant era. Located in the heart of the town, it stretches for 130 meters and dates from the 13th century. Running along the town ramparts, this thoroughfare has also been on the list of historic monuments since 1932.

In addition to long trips out to sea, swimming at the beach and visiting historical sites, you can also try other leisure activities to discover another side of Villefranche-sur-Mer. Like the other seaside resorts on the French Riviera, its geographical location gives it many advantages, particularly for hikers.
Hikers will have the opportunity to discover the pleasures of coastal hiking along the Sentier des Douaniers. A walk, starting from the town, which will take you to Vigier Park in the eastern part of the port of Nice. This one-kilometer circuit is certainly quite sporty, but guarantees you a pleasant change of scenery between land and sea.
