If you choose a yacht charter in Oristano, you will leave from the Torregrande marina. With its 405 berths, the port offers a range of services typical of any marina geared towards pleasure boating, such as water and electricity, weather reports, a petrol station and toilets. You will also be able to carry out maintenance work there and in the event of a serious breakdown of your boat, you can count on a rolling gantry crane that can support up to 65 masts.
In addition to a service geared towards international tourist standards, the port of Oristano is committed to preserving the environment. In particular, it has set up a system for collecting residues, such as used oil from the boat, in order to prevent sea pollution. It also offers ecological excursions to help you discover the natural treasures of the Mediterranean coast.
Visiting Oristano
For a spot of relaxation, don't miss Is Arutas beach. Nicknamed the "rice grain" beach because of its small white quartz grains, you'll be charmed by its original setting and emerald waters, which are perfect for surfing.
Oristano also boasts many cultural treasures, not least the numerous remains inherited from the Byzantines who founded the city in 1070. Don't miss the Torre Di Mariano II, one of the four gates in the ancient ramparts. Built with Tharros sandstone bricks, it stands approximately 19 meters high. In Oristano you will also find the remains of a nuraghi camp, also called the «Nuraghe Losa», with its tower with a stone ceiling.
