Sheltered from the wind by two headlands, Campus beach is a pretty cove of golden sand that is popular with families. On this beach, you can visit the site of Cuccureddus, a vestige of Phoenician civilization.
Among the most popular in the region are the very touristy beaches of Campulongu, Porto Guino and Simius. Located near the town of the same name, Campulongu beach is adorned with a river of white sand caressed by a crystalline sea that lovers of relaxation will find hard to forget. It will be difficult to forget Porto Giunco beach with its extremely fine white sand and the saline environment created by the Notteri lagoon, giving rise to a second sea.
The festivities in Villasimius
Villasimius also owes its fame to its numerous cultural events celebrating its customs and traditions. Every Sunday, you can watch the procession of beautifully decorated boats to the underwater statue of the Madonna del Naufrago, the patron saint of sailors, starting from Isola di Cavoli.
