The port in which our sailboat charter base is located is established in the city of Bodrum itself, in an oval natural bay immediately to the west of the castle.
The marina is very modern and fully equipped.
Leaving Bodrum, you can follow the north coast of the Gulf of Gökova, which is very beautiful and has many more or less green but very beautiful sheltered anchorages.
From Milta Marina to the city center
Located in the center of the city of Bodrum, Milta Marina has been awarded the Blue Flag. One of the largest in the Mediterranean and the Aegean Sea, it can accommodate up to 275 boats, and has been able to do so since 1992, after the addition of two floating docks. The marina has modern facilities and you can get something to eat before you weigh anchor or set off to explore a city deeply marked by history.
Shops, cafés and restaurants gather on the main street around the marina to give you a foretaste of Turkish culture through its gastronomy based on typically Mediterranean products. You will sample some local flavors such as the sheep kebabs called Dönner. Stuffed squash blossoms, seafood and bergamot jam can be enjoyed in the flower-filled cafés that colonize the white streets winding through the city, inviting you on a whole new adventure.
A cultural journey awaits you in Bodrum, leading to some historical gems, the most remarkable of which are the castle of Saint Peter, built from 1402 onwards, and the mausoleum ofHalicarnassus, which was built in 352 BC. The dimensions and decorations of the mausoleum have been admired since Antiquity.
From Marina de Milta to Gumbet
History also has a place in the town of Gumbet, located three kilometers west of Bodrum, which you can reach by boat from Milta Marina. But what really characterizes the town of Gumbet is its nightlife and sunny beaches of fine sand hauled in on the side of the boat by palm, mandarin and orange trees. A Mediterranean landscape overlooking a shallow, sparkling sea that lends itself to various water sports such as diving, water skiing and windsurfing.
