Turgutreis Marina is a very recent marina at the western end of the Bodrum peninsula, about fifteen kilometers from the city of Bodrum. From this base, you can either head north into the Gulf of Güllük with its coastline carved out into wide bays, themselves indented with countless coves, all magnificent and ideal for coastal navigation.
From Turkey…
Choosing yacht charter at Turgutreis Marina will give you the opportunity to discover the most charming towns in southwestern Turkey. A cruise in the Gulf of Güllük will offer you relaxation, a cultural adventure and a change of scenery. Do you prefer to spend your vacation in peace and quiet? From Turgutreis Marina, head for the coastal town of Güllük, located to the northeast of the Bodrum peninsula. Hauled in at the side of the boat's bow, Güllük owes its reputation to its bucolic setting. Its hills, populated with olive, lemon and fig trees, exude the Mediterranean. The tranquility and beauty of its sandy beaches also make it a very popular destination for boaters who appreciate the calm. In the city, the silence is broken by the market, which brings together artisans, grocers and fruit and vegetable sellers every Thursday in a cheerful atmosphere.
From Güllük, you can travel from the Aegean Sea to the Mediterranean on the side of the boat to reach the historic city of Bodrum. Despite its cosmopolitan character, the city is endearing with its beautiful beaches inviting you to swim and its ancient remains offering a historical interlude, such as the Mausoleum at Halicarnassus, which has aroused admiration since Antiquity.
… all the way to Greece
From Bodrum, you move into a different atmosphere and a different culture. Leaving from Turgutreis Marina, you enter the Dodecanese peninsula, whose closest island, Kos, is about 12 miles from Bodrum. The Turkish vestiges are giving way to a Greco-Roman heritage, the most remarkable of which remains the castle of Neratzia, built in the 15th century.
in Kos, however, you will find its delightful sandy beaches, which are renowned far and wide, such as Lambi beach, which will be your first stopover after Bodrum. A particularly lively sandy beach 300 meters from the capital.
