Yacht charter

Last updated on 8 April 2025

Created in 1956 by the Charlet family, Port Maguide is a marina open to the Atlantic, whose unique feature is its unspoiled natural landscape. Thanks to the work carried out on this former marshland, the site now has beautiful fine sandy beaches, ideal for strolling with your loved one or family. To discover the hidden treasures of this little end of Eden, why not opt for a yacht charter from Port Maguide?

Sailing close-hauled along the Atlantic coast and stopping for a few hours or a few days at Port Maguide is, above all, a nature lover's dream. Here, they will have the leisure to veer off on their favorite hobby. A short hike in the forest located only 11 kilometers from the harbor to fill up on oxygen or abathing and sunbathing on Biscarosse beach are just a few examples of the activities to be enjoyed while sailing or catamaran sailing in the open sea off Port Maguide.

This commune with a population of 13,000 is also home to some of the region's most prestigious attractions: the historical aviation museum, the fortified church of Saint-Martin, a shaft over 600 years old – the elm – or even the castle of Montbron...

What do the beaches of Biscarrosse have in store for you?

In addition to the museums and historic buildings that enhance its picturesque character, the commune of Biscarrosse is also a must for surfing and swimming enthusiasts. Bathers will be spoiled for choice among its magnificent beaches on the seafront. Want to combine a little escape to the sea with relaxation on the beach? From the marina, head for Vivier beach. Located in a protected area in the north of the city, this beach boasts a splendid river of white sand and is perfect for kitesurfing and bodyboarding enthusiasts.

You can also linger on the shores of the beaches that line the shores of Lake Biscarrosse. These will particularly appeal to families. The lake beaches also reveal splendid rivers of sand and are ideal for a variety of exciting family activities such as water skiing and buoying. With a play area and particularly lively during the summer period, Maguide beach will enchant young and old alike. More discreet, Ispe beach will be more appealing to those seeking peace and quiet.

What about nature?

The natural environment of Biscarrosse and its surroundings promises long, new walks for hikers. On foot, on horseback or by bike, your walk will be rewarded by the sight of lush nature. So take pleasure in strolling through the famous Landes de Gascogne forest during your stop at Port Maguide.

Part of the natural region of France, the Landes de Gascogne forest will allow you to discover and appreciate all the beauty of the Landes forest. Trudge through the green oaks, lime trees and chestnut trees before enjoying the beautiful views of the Atlantic Ocean! During your forest walk in the Chêneraie park, you will have the opportunity to observe the wildlife flourishing around the Napoleonic canal.
