Setting sail from the main port of Athens, set off to conquer the south coast of the island of Salamis, located at the gateway to Piraeus, and its beaches, renownedknown for their particularly clean waters, such as the beaches of Peristéria. A short stop in the village of Peristéria will allow you to reach the cave of Euripides, inhabited during the Neolithic period.
Continuing your cruise south, you will come across the island of Aegina, characterized by its pastel-colored houses and ruins dating from Antiquity. égine will be an interesting stopover for history buffs, who will discover the temple of Athéna Aphaïa, built in the 6th century BCnear the top of a hill. Near the port is the ancient city where a column, the remains of a temple of Apollo, stands. Considered the smallest inhabited island in the Saronic Gulf, Angistri is just a few minutes from Aegina. A small flowery paradise colonized by pine trees, Angistri is home to four small villages offering a little tranquility to cruise passengers. The island has two small natural harbors in the municipality of Skala and Megalochori. Linger a few hours in the picturesque village of Megalochori, where its cultural center and pretty whitewashed churches await you. Along its coasts, you will come across peaceful beaches, such as Aponissos, Chalikiada and Dragonera.
