Discover the municipality of Raša
Trget, a tiny village hauled in alongside the municipality of Raša, offers an excellent anchorage for yachtsmen wishing to explore the county of Istria. Although this welcoming village of less than 50 inhabitants has no places of interest, it is nevertheless a good point from which to explore the municipality of Raša, about 4 km from Rabac.
Founded by miners, the town of Raša was rebuilt from 1937 onwards, during the Second World War. Now displaying modern architecture, the town nevertheless retains some traces of its very first inhabitants, such as the church of Saint Barbara, patron saint of miners. Dominating the central square, the church closely resembles a cart, while its bell tower takes the form of a miner's lamp. You can admire a fine collection relating to mining in the region.
You can also enjoy discovering the small villages that embellish the municipality of Raša, such as Drenje, Crni and Skitača, before setting off to explore the towns of Laban and Rabac.
Explore the towns of Blue Istria
The area around Trget can also be discovered during a pleasant trip out to sea. You can thus reach well-known towns such as Rabac, embellishing the southern coast of Istria. From the heights, you can enjoy a magnificent view of Rabac, Velebit, Gorski Kotar and Prklog, a splendid little wild and protected cove.
A stop in Labin also offers you the opportunity to try local specialties, such as the famous Labin krafi, sweet ravioli filled with cow's cheese, eggs and raisins, all flavored with lemon zest.
