Pozzuoli (sometimes Putéoles, in Italian Pozzuoli) is a city of around 82,000 inhabitants located in the province of Naples in Campania (Italy).
Pozzuoli has been known since ancient times and is characterized by the surrounding volcanic activity.
The port is located at the northern end of the Gulf of Naples, and is the embarkation point for Ischia and Procida.
