Yacht charter

Last updated on 8 April 2025

The Greek islands hold some wonderful discoveries in store for pleasure boaters. By opting for a yacht charter in Chios, you will discover this authentic island to the rhythm of the wind and the sea. Homère's homeland, it is home to magnificent landscapes scented by tulips, heavenly beaches and picturesque villages.

The port of Chios

Chios is the setting for the most beautiful legends of the Aegean Sea. It is considered the island of sailors, especially captains. It has the best captain's school in Greece. Every passionate sailor should berth there one day.

The port is pleasantly lively, with small taverns hauled in alongside the boats and daydreamers drawn to the open sea. As a major center of commercial trade, it can accommodate large ships of up to 20,000 mastheads. In the southern part, a landing stage has been built to accommodate fishing boats, sailboats and yachts.

From the island of Chios, you can continue your exciting journey by berthing in the ports of Piraeus or Rafina.

The must-sees in Chios

Chios is world famous for its production of mastic, the main ingredient in chewing gum. It comes from the sap of the lentisk (mastic shaft), cultivated in Mastichochoria. You will be able to taste it there in its natural form. You can also take advantage of your visit to see the Nea Moni Monastery, a Byzantine site built in the 11th century AD and rich in wall frescoes and mosaics.

For a complete change of scenery, visit villages such as Anavatos with its rock houses. It has a special, intimate atmosphere, as if suspended in time. Another place to discover, Pyrgi is a Byzantine village with a keep, narrow streets and facades decorated with « xysta », geometric patterns combining white and gray. Finally, Emporios beach is ideal for relaxing and swimming.
