Esna El Hegz
Transfer from your hotel or Luxor airport with our tour guide, who will accompany you on a visit to... see+ the famous historical monuments on Luxor's west bank.
On this tour, your first stop will be the Valley of the Kings, the ancient royal necropolis where Tutankhamun's intact tomb was discovered in 1922.
Next, we'll visit the magnificent rock-cut temple of Queen Hatshepsut. You'll also have the chance to visit the Alabaster Factory to discover how the great artists of yesteryear carved stone. On the way, we'll stop off at the Colossi of Memnon.
Next, we visit the huge Amun-Ra complex, also known as Karnak.
Finally, transfer to the boat at Esna. Sailing and overnight on the island of El Hegz.

Enjoy another leisurely breakfast on the river as you sail to Edfu, where your tour guide will... see+ accompany you on a new excursion—this time to visit the ancient Greco-Roman temple of Horus, also known as Edfu temple.
This is the best-preserved temple in Egypt, thanks to the fact that it was buried under desert sands for nearly 2,000 years before being rediscovered and carefully excavated.
After your visit, continue sailing along the Nile, passing by small islands where you'll see children playing by the river and buffaloes and donkeys wandering along the banks.
Lunch will be served on board as the journey continues toward the small island village of Bassaw. This charming community of about 500 inhabitants grows its own food—mangoes, bananas, dates—and lives off fishing. Noticeably isolated from the modern world, Bassaw seems frozen in time.
Upon arrival, visit the village and meet a local farming family who will welcome you into their home.
This is a unique opportunity to ask questions—especially about education for girls living on the island. (You may even get the chance to help bake traditional sun bread for dinner!)
Enjoy dinner on the island, followed by a festive Egyptian night presented by the crew, featuring local folklore and music.

Breakfast on board the Dahabeya. Visit to the temple of Hormoheb and the temple of Selsila, then... see+ return to the boat to continue sailing. On the way, we pass other islands such as Bashier and Maliha, enjoying the magnificent views along the Nile, before arriving at Kom Ombo.
We arrive at Kom Ombo temple where your guide will take you to see the remarkable Kom Ombo temple. This is one of the most unique and intriguing of all ancient temples, as it was dedicated to two different gods, Sobek and Haeroris. To achieve this, the builders had to construct two different temples, resulting in a complex that is essentially two temples in one. Continuation to Aswan.

Breakfast on board the Dahabeya. Continue sailing to Aswan. We begin our excursion to Aswan with... see+ the grand and magnificent ancient temple of Philae. The temple of Philae, located on the island of Agilka, one of Egypt's most beautiful sanctuaries, has been entirely moved from its original location to its present site on higher ground. It was saved from the rising waters of Lake Nasser by the construction of the Aswan High Dam, completed in 1977. On the way back to Dahabeya, we'll have the opportunity to stop off at the Aswan Souk (market), where we'll be able to exercise our bargaining skills, visit the spice market and drink the famous sugarcane juices.
Option to visit the Nubian village of Aswan, take a break with the Nubian people and ride a camel. You can also take a walk around the islands of Aswan and visit the botanical garden.
