I'm booking the charter, but my spouse or a friend will be the skipper: does the charter have to be in the skipper's name?

Updated on: 26/05/2025

There are two scenarios:

- You are the boat’s skipper: all documents are in your name—the rental agreement, the insurance policy—you must complete a nautical resume and provide the necessary documents for the charter, and finally, you must list yourself as the skipper on the crew list.

- You are the renter but not the designated skipper: this is not a problem; you are a crew member and simply need to indicate on the crew list who the skipper will be, including their email address; we will automatically create a client account for them so they can enter their nautical resume and attach the required certifications.
It is therefore not necessary to change the name on the booking form.
