Can I bring a pet on board?
Updated on: 26/05/2025Most rental companies refuse this. However, it is sometimes possible for an additional fee (usually double the cleaning fee). This often seems excessive to people who want to bring their dog, but the rental company is required to perform a more thorough cleaning after a charter with a dog. In fact, several points must be taken into account:
- When they spend long hours on board, they have nowhere to relieve themselves
- Some "allergic" or simply dog-phobic renters may make a scene with the rental company if they find even a single hair on the side of the boat.
Our advice: avoid taking your pet on a boat trip, especially if it’s their first time. In fact, many owners have seen their vacations turn into a nightmare because their dog couldn’t handle the motion of the boat.
