My flight is scheduled for late afternoon, but I'd like to leave earlier. Is that possible?
Updated on: 26/05/2025If your booking confirmation (or quote, if you haven’t booked yet) states that your charter begins in the late afternoon, this means that the rental company guarantees the boat will be ready at the time indicated on your booking confirmation (usually 5:00 PM). You will begin the inventory and check-in at that time. However, some of you may want to start earlier:
- If you simply want to arrive one or two hours before the scheduled time and leave your belongings somewhere, then contact your rental company to let them know. If it’s off-season, they may let you board earlier. Otherwise, they will likely offer to let you leave your belongings at their facility while you go shopping or take a walk.
- If you’d like to arrive in the early afternoon to do the inventory early and gain an extra afternoon on the water, this is called “Priority Boarding” or “ Early Check-in.” This is a paid extra that extends your charter period.
Please note: we must confirm the availability of "priority boarding" with the rental company. Since they cannot guarantee this for everyone, the number of early check-ins available for a given departure day is limited.
Furthermore, even if booked, "priority boarding" is not 100% guaranteed, especially if your boat sustained damage during the previous yacht charter, requiring minor repairs or longer preparation time. In this case, if you are unable to take advantage of your priority boarding, you will of course not be charged for it.
