Do I have to pay for shipping on the day of departure or on the day of return?
Updated on: 26/05/2025- If you board in the late afternoon, almost all rental companies include the first night on board at the port, which is convenient if you plan to arrive late or would like to spend the evening at the port and start sailing the next day.
- Similarly, if you disembark on the last day in the morning, having returned to the port the day before, then the last night in the port is included in your charter rate, with rare exceptions (in which case this will be specified on your booking voucher).
Please note: if you decide to spend nights at the departure base outside of these two scenarios (returning to the departure base every evening, for example), you will need to pay for the berth at the harbor office. This is because charter companies rarely own the berths.
