Yacht charter

Last updated on 8 April 2025

A city where the sea is still a real reason for its inhabitants to live, Palamós is the perfect destination for veering off into the water. In this municipality of the Baix Empordà region, in the Catalan province of Girona, yacht charter for a cruise in the Balearic Sea remains one of the leisure activities for which the region is renowned.

Our base in Palamós is an ideal point of departure for majestically sailing in the open sea off the sumptuous Costa Brava on the side of the boat. You will also enjoy a maritime area that will allow you to sail to island wonders such as the islands of Mallorca, Ibiza, Menorca and Formentera; places taken by vacationers from all over the world.

But before you set off on your boat trip, Palamós invites you to enjoy its various tourist attractions. Its beautiful Platja Gran and Fosca beaches attract all lovers of fine sand and sunshine, while the coves of Cala Margarida and Cala Estreta are prime targets for cameras. Also, don't forget to visit the fascinating Fishing Museum in Palamós, which will show you how the art of fishing is constantly evolving.

Activities in Palamós

Its gastronomy, modern infrastructure, marinas and proximity to the Gavarres massif make it an unmissable tourist destination in the heart of the Costa Brava. For hiking enthusiasts, their excursions to the top of the Gavarres mountains, a vast wooded area of 350 km2, guarantee them breathtaking views of the coast. If you enjoy walks by the sea, try cycle touring along the Costa Brava, where you'll find a succession of sandy beaches and magnificent coves, such as the Estreta cove. A 7.5 km trail awaits you north of Palamós and will reveal all the beauty and authenticity of the region's maritime landscape.

Lovers of beautiful architecture will linger in the old town, where there are some remarkable monuments such as the church of Santa Eugenia de Villarromá, which has dominated the Sant Joan de Palamós district since the 13th century, or thechurch of Santa Maria de Palamós, a Roman Catholic church built from the 15th century onwards.

Gourmets will linger in Palamós to sample the traditional Mediterranean cuisine. You will be able to sample the famous pink shrimps, the stars of Palamós, served with various dishes in sauce or grilled. Langoustines, squid, cod, sea urchins and snails invite you on a gastronomic journey between land and sea.

Your trips out to sea

By weighing anchoranchor from the Palamós marina, you can follow the Costa Brava and reach some interesting tourist towns such as L'Estartit, an unmissable stopover before going to the Medes Islands, Tossa de Mar and Blanes, a family destination offering various water sports such as water skiing, sailing and windsurfing.

The town closest to Palamós, Sant Feliu de Guíxols, will give you a little historical break with its ancient monuments, such as the Benedictine monastery built between the 10th and 11th centuries.
