Yacht charter, sailboat and catamaran on the Costa Brava

With its 200 km of coastline and 17 fully equipped marinas and pleasure ports, the Costa Brava is an ideal sailing area for pleasure boaters. A navigation punctuated by large bays, coves and long beaches. In terms of the weather, the Costa Brava enjoys a Mediterranean climate and warm, even scorching temperatures in the height of summer. However, the Costa Brava is buffeted by various winds whose intensity varies according to the season. To the north, the Tramontana can be violent the further one gets from the coast. On the contrary, the onshore winds are rather light and pleasant, and they perfectly complement the sea trips.

The most spectacular sailing area on the Costa Brava extends from the southern border of San-Filiu, since further down the coast becomes flat and less interesting for sailing enthusiasts. The area from Cap Creus to Estartit is without doubt the wildest and can be fully discovered in a week with a few hours of sailing each day.

When to rent a boat, sailboat or catamaran on the Costa Brava? June and September seem to be the best times to sail on the Costa Brava, far from the high season, which is to be avoided at all costs from July 14 to August 15.
