Yacht charter

Last updated on 28 October 2024

Why opt for a yacht charter on the island of Menorca?

Minorca or Menorca is the smallest of the Balearic Islands in Spain and the least frequented by tourists. A truly unspoiled area, the island is full of wild coves and rocky landscapes typical of the Mediterranean, enchanting every year the pleasure boaters in search of adventure. A yacht charter in Menorca will give you access to its many magnificent coves, preserved from mass tourism.

What type of boat should you choose for your charter in Menorca?

  • Monohull sailboat charter: a monohull sailboat will give you a more sporty experience and allow you to reach secret coves only accessible by sea. For adventure and thrill seekers, a monohull sailboat is for you.
  • Catamaran charter: if you are looking for a relaxing cruise around Menorca and want to prioritize space and comfort on your trip, we highly recommend a catamaran charter, which will offer you greater stability.
  • Motor yacht charter: more accessible and cheaper, this option is ideal for a day charter.

The services offered for your yacht charter in Menorca:

  • Bareboat yacht charter: this option allows you to rent a boat for a fixed period, generally by the day, week or month. You are then free to sail as you please and discover the most beautiful calas in complete autonomy.
  • Yacht charter with skipper: If you have little or no sailing experience or you simply want to spend a relaxing vacation, Filovent offers you the option of chartering your yacht with a professional skipper. The skipper will know the sailing area and will show you some of the most beautiful places in the region.
  • Crewed yacht charter: this type of service will be included on luxury yachts over 20 meters. It will be optional for catamaran charters in Menorca between 10 and 20 meters. A crew generally consists of a captain, a cook and a hostess. The crew will take great care of you and make sure you have an unforgettable cruise!

Where to sail in Menorca?

  • Cala Macarella: Not far from Ciutadella, this breathtaking beach is surrounded by limestone cliffs and turquoise waters. It is the ideal place for swimming, snorkeling and veering off into relaxation.
  • Fornells: A fishing village located in the north of Menorca, Fornells is anchored in a large bay more than three kilometers long that protects boats from the wind. Once there, set foot on land to take the time to visit the tower of Fornells and its breathtaking view of the coast of Menorca.
  • Cala Turqueta: about 10 kilometers from the town of Ciutadella, Cala Turqueta is one of Menorca's most famous beaches! It is located in the heart of the most beautiful part of the island, where the rock formations along the coast have favored the appearance of numerous wild coves.
  • Mahón:  Enclosed by Menorca and considered one of the largest natural harbors in the world, it is possible to find anchorage near the city and enjoy its crystal clear waters. In the center of the port, you will find two islands (King's Island and Llazaret Island) that you can visit before setting off in the open sea.
